GOP presidential candidate Andy Martin will hold a telephone
news conference today, Sunday, January 10th to announce he will convene a
“Birther Summit” on Ted Cruz’ eligibility to be a presidential candidate in
Washington, DC on January 29-31. Andy created the anti-Obama “Birther”
movement, and then walked away when some extremists began to attack Obama
without an evidentiary basis to do so. Andy has reserved a hotel space and is
soliciting financial support to underwrite the conference. Andy is a
constitutional law expert who has litigated major constitutional cases and
consulted on other historic litigation. Andy’s seminal research and advocacy created
the anti-Microsoft movement and energized state attorneys general to litigate
claims against Microsoft. Andy is also running his own national presidential
campaign. Andy is also soliciting any and all factual and documentary information
about Cruz and his family history.

GOP presidential candidate Andy Martin will hold a telephone news conference
today, January 10th to announce he will convene a three-day Ted Cruz “Birther
Summit” in Washington, DC
January 29-31.
“Sam Stein of the Huffington Post has unfairly accused me of
being a ‘noted conservative dirty trickster,’” Andy says. “I plead guilty to
being a ‘noted conservative.’ But ‘dirty tricks’ are done anonymously and in
secret. I operate in the open, in full public view, and my operations are
fact-based and evidence-based. The Birther Summit will adhere to and uphold the
same high standards of proof for my investigation into Ted Cruz’ citizenship
and presidential eligibility.
“I pursued Barack Obama relentlessly on the facts of his
birth, parentage and citizenship. But I walked away from the extremists that
used crackpot theories to question Obama’s origins. The reason my attacks on
Obama were so devastating and long-lasting in 2008, and have resonated and expanded
during his presidency, is because I searched and continue to search for the
truth about Obama and presented only credible accusations that could stand up
in a court of law.
“This is the third presidential campaign in which my
investigative efforts have assumed a major, possibly decisive role.
“I should also point out that while I recently explained the
origins of the ‘Natural Born Citizen’ clause in the Constitution, and there is
general agreement on those origins, even among liberals (please see link [1]
below), there is more to be written and discussed at the Summit.
“I am not supporting or attacking Ted Cruz. He is also a
noted constitutional litigator, and he certainly understands that a fair and impartial
investigation into his past by an internationally-recognized investigator such
as myself will help to dispel the lies, if any there be, and help to establish
the truth if there is truth to be found, about his citizenship and family
origins.
“I should also point out that in 2008, while I explained the
origins of the natural Born Citizen Clause, I also expressed skepticism that
any court could be found to apply the ‘original intent’ of the Founders. Judges
are reluctant to intervene in election matters, with one notable exception.
That is why I believe Alan Grayson’s threat to file a lawsuit against Cruz is
exaggerated and unfounded.
“We are soliciting evidence and factual information about
Ted Cruz (see below) and we will receive and review all submissions before the Summit.
I will also be contacting Ted Cruz and asking him to cooperate with the Summit
and to provide detailed family history and documentation.
“The mainstream media and leftist hacks such as Dana Milbank
are calling on Americans to ignore the serious constitutional issues and in
effect to ‘bury’ the Constitution (please see link [2] below). The Constitution
is not a document that can be ignored, or ‘buried,’ or subverted by a transient
majority of the population. The Constitution ‘is what it is,’ and its meaning
does not depend on a Clintonian definition of ‘is.’ The facts are the facts. We
will search for the facts about Cruz, and spread them out in public for
everyone to review at the Birther Summit,” Andy says. “We have tentatively
reserved hotel space and we are revving up for January 29-31. We are soliciting
additional financial support to conduct the meeting.”
